This course focuses on two climbing topics that are foundational to rock climbing: Anchors and Rappelling. The skills taught on this course will provide our students with the appropriate knowledge to build and clean sport climbing anchors safely.

- Safety at the crag and introduction to personal tethers
- Key principles of a reliable climbing anchor
- Introduction to fixed anchors
- Use and care of gear used to build sport climbing anchors
- Common climbing anchor set-ups
- Rappelling systems
- Protocols for cleaning a climbing anchor
